Composition
Each ml eye drop contains Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride USP equivalent to Moxifloxacin 5 mg.
Description
Moxigram is a sterile ophthalmic solution containing Moxifloxacin- a broad spectrum fluoroquinolone derivative for topical administration into the eyes.
Indication
Moxigram eye drop is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections including bacterial conjunctivitis, blepharitis and blepharo-conjunctivitis which are due to Moxifloxacin susceptible organism.
Dosage & Administration
Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 3 times daily for 7 days.
Contraindication
If anyone has known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the products.
Precaution
As with other anti-infective, prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms, including fungi. If super-infection occurs, discontinue use and introduce alternative therapy. Patients should be advised not to wear contact lenses if they have signs and symptoms of bacterial conjunctivitis.
Side-effect
The most frequently reported ocular adverse effects were decrease visual acuity, dry eye, ocular discomfort, ocular hyperemia, ocular pain, ocular pruritis, subconjunctival hemmorrhage and tearing. These events occured in approximately 1-6% of patients. If any of these effects persists or worsen, inform your doctor.
Drug Interaction
Studies have not been conducted.
Store in cool, dry place & away from light. Keep out of the reach of children. Use within one month after the first
opening.
