DESCRIPTION:
Nervopex is a combination of Vitamin B 1 (Thiamine), Vitamin B 6 (Pyridoxine) & Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin).These vitamins play
essential role as co-enzyme in the metabolism of nervous system. Thus this combination normalizes the nerve cell metabolism. Nervopex
supports the regeneration of nerve fibers and myelin sheath by activation of the metabolism and the natural repair mechanism. The
combination of these 3 Vitamins shows better efficacy than that of the individual component. In addition, Vitamin B1 , Vitamin B6 & Vitamin
B 12 combination promote body's own repair mechanism and work in pain management.
COMPOSITION:
Nervopex Tablet: Each tablet contains Thiamine Mononitrate BP 100 mg, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride BP 200 mg, and Cyanocobalamin BP
200 mcg.
INDICATION:
Nervopex is indicated for the treatment of B 1 , B6 & B 12 deficiency syndrome. It is also indicated in the treatment of Diabetic neuropathy,
Sciatica, Peripheral neuralgia, Facial paralysis, Lumbago, Intercostal neuralgia, Myalgia & Spinal pain.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Nervopex Tablet: 1-2 tablets three times a day or as directed by the physician.
CONTRAINDICATION:
Nervopex is contraindicated in known hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients in this product and in patients on Levodopa therapy.
PRECAUTION:
Cyanocobalamin should not be given before a diagnosis has been fully established because of the possibility of masking symptoms of sub
acute degeneration of the spinal cord. Cyanocobalamin is not a suitable form of vitamin B 12 for the treatment of optic neuropathies
associated with raised plasma concentrations of Cyanocobalamin.
USE IN PREGNANCY AND LACTATION:
Pregnancy: Nervopex is safe for pregnant women. Lactation: It is not known whether Vitamin B1 is excreted in breast milk or not, but
may be taken cautiously during lactation. Vitamin B 6 has no adverse effect during lactation. There is no known adverse effect on Vitamin
B 12 therapy also.
SIDE EFFECT:
Generally well tolerated. However, a few allergic reactions may be seen.
DRUG INTERACTION:
Levodopa: Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6 ) reduces therapeutic effect of levodopa but it does not occur if a dopa decarboxylase inhibitor is also
given. Neomycin, Chloramphenicol, Aminosalisylic acid & histamine H 2 receptor antagonist: may reduce Vitamin B 12 absorption.
Store in a cool dry place and keep away from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
